Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Following established methods and procedures must be able to perform, but not limited to the following operations necessary to build a harness/cable assembly, cut and strip wire, pot, crimp, solder, cleaning operations, marking operations.
  • Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of grammar school education.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, soldering iron, electronic and pneumatic tooling.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Training Requirements

  • General Safety.
  • Electrostatic Discharge Awareness.
  • Foreign Object Damage Awareness.
  • Quality System Awareness.

Physical Demands

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

Vision

  • Employee is regularly required to work with small components. Eyesight correctable to 20/20 required.
  • The following are minimum vision requirements:
  • Near Vision. Jaeger 1 at 355.6 mm [14 in] or reduced Snellen 20/20, or equivalent.
  • Color Vision. Ability to distinguish red, green, blue, and yellow colors.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • The use of Safety Glasses is required.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
